The Anaheim Ducks played their home games at the Honda Center in Anaheim since their inception. The Walt Disney Company founded the club. Their original name was Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The Ducks have qualified for the playoffs a total of six times in their fifteen years of existing. There has been a lot of Anaheim Ducks merchandise since they started playing. They won the Stanley Cup in 2007.
The Dallas Stars currently play their home games at the American Airlines Center, the same stadium that the Dallas Mavericks play in. Originally the team was known as the Minnesota North Stars. Attendance was horrible in 1993 and as a result the Dallas Stars merchandise sales suffered. They moved from Minnesota to the Reunion Arena in Dallas. The NHL had to give Minnesota and their fans a new franchise because there was a big controversy.
The Stars made it to the finals in 2000, but lost to the Devils. The team moved to their new home in 2001.
The Los Angeles Kings play hockey in LA. The franchise was founded in 1966 after Jack Kent Cooke gave Los Angeles an expansion franchise. The Kings played at The Forum for 32 years. They then moved to the downtown LA in the Staples Center, which is home to the LA Clippers and Lakers. The Kings have only won their division once in all of their history. They have also failed to get past the first round in 12 of the 24 years they have made it to the playoffs. The Los Angeles Kings merchandise sales go up for the first round of the playoffs but that didn’t help the team one bit.
The Phoenix Coyotes play in suburban Phoenix. They call the Jobing.com Arena home and they celebrate each home game with their Phoenix Coyotes merchandise. They used to play at the US Airways Center, which was then known as America West Arena. The Coyotes began as a World Hockey Association team before moving into the NHL.
The San Jose Sharks play in San Jose at the HP Pavilion at San Jose and they love wearing their San Jose Sharks merchandise.
